Kathmandu. The Election Commission has completed various important programs this week as per the approved schedule for the election of members of the House of Representatives to be held on February 21, 2082. According to the commission, in addition to passing the election code of conduct, understanding and investigating the closed list of political parties, determining the limit of election expenses, granting permission to the election monitoring organization and preparing a concept paper for coordination with the local level and voter education have been completed.

The Election Code of Conduct has been approved by the Commission with the aim of making the upcoming elections clean, free, fair and fearless. According to the Commission, while formulating the code of conduct, past election experience, universal election principles and suggestions of political parties and stakeholders have been included. Strict provisions have been made in the code of conduct to prevent the negative impact of the use of information and communication technology on the election.

In the code of ethics, using social media and artificial intelligence artificial intelligence-AI to influence voters, disinformation, spreading misleading information and making hate speech is prohibited. For the first time, the system for monitoring content created by AI has also been included.
