Kathmandu. The Supreme Court has given another blow to the Balendra Shah-led government. The Supreme Court on Thursday issued a verdict against the appointment of Nepal Airlines Corporation Chairman Maheshwar Bhakta Shrestha. The bench of Justices Sunil Kumar Pokharel and Balkrishna Dhakal has given the verdict that the writ will be issued. With this decision of the Supreme Court, he has been relieved of his post, and now the executive chairman has to be appointed through a new process.

Even if the Supreme Court cancels the appointment of the chairman, he will remain a member of the board of directors. Upendra Bahadur Karki, a member of the board of directors of the corporation, made 5 people, including the secretariat of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, as opponents.
