IGP's instructions to prepare and operate a reliable security plan during the elections

Kathmandu. Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki has instructed to mobilize the police by making a reliable security plan to ensure that the upcoming elections are conducted in a fear-free and fair environment. He gave these instructions to the police personnel on security sensitivity and contemporary issues to be adopted in the context of the upcoming elections through audio-visual from the Nepal Police Headquarters in Naxal.

Inspector General of Police Karki emphasized that effective security arrangements should be made by collecting information about criminal activities to prevent any incidents of criminal activities from happening in their respective areas.

According to the police head office, he directed to perform activities more proactively by giving special priority to crime investigation, revenue leakage at border crossings, seizure of arms, traffic management, and arresting fugitive defendants.
