If only there was a political party like this!

Political history is in a very complicated phase. People get scared just thinking about politics. If politics does not take the right direction, the sad idea that the entire country will face an unimaginable crisis is haunting the common Nepali. For some reason, festivals are also canceled. I also have a request from ten fingers: Anyone who claims to be working for the country and the people should consider this sensitivity of the people.

In this difficult time, a completely new debate on the creation/reconstruction of a ‘good political party’ has entered. Our ‘future’ is linked to the logical conclusion of this debate, which began in the midst of the nearly century-long history of political parties.

Yes, there are some complex problems within political parties. Twelve years ago, in 2013, I wrote in an academic journal – ‘Despite not being able to produce significant results while in government, despite regular elections, despite extensive political mobilization at the local level, and despite regular changes of government,’ the fact that political power (the right to decide on major political issues) has been vested in only a limited number of individuals for a long time is a major problem in Nepali democratic politics. This problem still persists today. But when evaluating political parties, it is also wrong to ignore the historical role of political parties based solely on this fact.

Secondly, political parties were the breeding ground for the personality and leadership development of many individuals in the leadership positions of Nepali society today. There are many grounds to give the credit for the development of high-level human resources produced by Nepal to Nepali society rather than to the Nepali state. As we have all read in history, the community has played an incomparable role in establishing schools in every corner of Nepal. There are few one-sided grounds to say that the state has planned and expanded schools. The decisive contribution of individuals and parties involved in politics in establishing educational institutions should not be underestimated.

Political parties and their sister organizations have a decisive role in extracurricular activities more than in establishing educational institutions. The development of the art of reading books, the art of speaking, the art of thinking, all areas, which are activities that the state should actively do, have been done by politicians and parties. The Nepal state is still dependent on society in such activities. The state's confusion in these areas remains intact.

Even today, the main source of information in Nepal is the unprecedented political capital developed by political parties. Even today, i.e. in 2082 BS, the state is unaware of how many citizens living within the country have or do not have citizenship. How can anyone know who received what service? In such a situation, it is the political parties who have done the work of connecting the stories and pains of the citizens of the village, from Singha Durbar.
