Home Minister's emphasis on immigration law amendment and visa system digitization
Kathmandu. Home Minister Omprakash Aryal has said that it is necessary to amend the legal system related to immigration and issue a timely law.
Speaking at the meeting of the National Assembly held on Friday, Home Minister Aryal discussed the study report on the Immigration Act, 2049 submitted by the Committee on Public Policy and Delegated Legislation and gave information about the work being done by the ministry.
He mentioned that the Immigration Act, 2049 and Immigration Regulations, 2051, Immigration Procedures, 2062 and the circulars regarding the provisions of a serious and sovereign nature should be included in the Act and have been placed in the Regulations and Procedures. He said that there is a need to redefine the scope of delegation and include such serious matters in the law and issue a new law in time.
