Hearing on Paudel's writ on June 16

Kathmandu. The hearing on the writ of detention filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of CPN-UML vice president and former finance minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel will be held on June 16. Paudel's wife, Domaya Paudel, filed a writ petition in the court on June 10, stating that he was detained illegally. Regarding the said writ, the bench of Judge Srikant Paudel has ordered to demand a written answer from the Attorney General's Office on June 15th and to hold a hearing on June 16th. 

       Vice President Paudel was arrested from Surkhet on 8th of June for the offense of money laundering and was brought before the special court in Kathmandu on 9th of this June.
