Government decision is now through digital system, new regulations to end delays are implemented
Kathmandu. The government has introduced the 'Regulations on Simplifying and Digitizing Government Decision-Making Process, 2083' to make the decision-making system of public administration more responsible, fast and effective. The 'Government Decision Process Simplification Guidelines, 2065' has been repealed and converted into a regulation.
The proposal put forward by the office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers to end the administrative delay by making the regulations more legal and binding compared to the guidelines and digitizing them according to time was approved by the meeting of the Council of Ministers held yesterday.
With the implementation of the new regulations, the digital system has been made mandatory as the primary means of decision-making in government agencies. Under this, all operations of file registration, comment, opinion, approval, digital signature, documentation and monitoring will be conducted through an integrated electronic decision system.
