Kathmandu. Folk singer and journalist Kamal BK Nirmohi passed away. He died on Tuesday evening after being unwell for a few years due to kidney problems. Singer Komal Wali expressed her condolences through social media and informed about the death of Nirmohi. Wali mentioned that she was saddened by his death. Komal also recalled that among the songs she sang with Kamal, 'Tyo Madi Kholale Chhekeku Hai, Malai Chhekyo Mayalu Timai Mayale' became very popular.
Born in Dang, Nirmohi was recently living in Nepalgunj. He is also a former employee of Radio Nepal. Dozens of his songs have been recorded in Radio Nepal. Out of which many songs like 'Lagyo Maya Mohani Nazarma', 'Pokhara Kya Good Roopatal, Dunga Chadhi Salal Mayajal' are famous. He has also given his voice in some folk pop and modern songs.
Nirmohi has a son and two daughters in his family. His wife also died tragically about a month ago. Nirmohi's last rites will be performed at Sidhaniyaghat Raptinadi in Dang on Wednesday afternoon, according to family sources.
