Fire in two industries in Jhapa
Kathmandu. A fire broke out in two industries operating in Birtamod Municipality-4 here this morning. Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, Information Officer of the District Police Office informed that there was a large amount of damage in that industry due to the fire. At around 4:15 this morning, a fire broke out simultaneously in 'Jhapali Chips Factory' operated by Bhakti Prasad Upreti and 'Saugat Kashta Furniture' owned by Chandra Prasad Kharel.
As the raw materials, preparation materials and machinery equipment of both industries were destroyed by the fire, the police estimated that the damage was worth around one crore. The fire was put out a while ago with the help of the local police office Birtamod, the police team of Armed Police Base Camp Shanishchare, the fire brigade of Birtamod, Bhadrapur and Mechinagar municipalities and the locals. The police said that the cause of the fire has not been revealed and further investigation is underway.
