Expulsion of 67 foreign nationals residing illegally in Nepal
Kathmandu. The government has expelled 67 foreign nationals residing illegally in Nepal. Home Minister Omprakash Aryal has said that in one month since the formation of the current government, that number of foreigners have been expelled from the country. Announcing his one-month progress report, Minister Aryal said, "In the action of the Immigration Department, 67 foreign nationals from various countries who stayed in Nepal against visas and overstayed have been expelled, and the search for those who stayed illegally and against the law is underway."
Similarly, he also said that an alternative data center has been established at the Immigration Office, Tribhuvan International Airport. He said that the immigration check pass has been made effective and efficient by maintaining arrival and departure at Nepali Port. Mentioning that security standards have been implemented during this period, Minister Aryal also informed that 477 police personnel who were posted against the standards for former officials, 366 police personnel and 111 police personnel from Nepal Armed Police Force have been recalled.
Similarly, the preliminary draft of the 4th amendment of the Nepal Citizenship Regulations has been prepared, investigation of crimes and proceedings of pending cases have been accelerated, 161 criminals have been arrested and declared fugitives from the court, apart from those looted in the Genji movement, 2 persons have been arrested with 5 gun loaded guns and 2 rounds of bullets from various weapons, he said.
