Explosion in coal mine in India: Two youths from Khotang killed, four seriously
Kathmandu. Two brothers of the same house, residents of Khotang's Barahpokhari rural municipality, died on the spot after an explosion in a coal mine in Meghalaya, India. 27-year-old Purna Bahadur Khapangi Magar and 24-year-old Surendra Khapangi Magar, residents of Salgharibhanjyang, Barahpokhari Rural Municipality-1, Barahpokhari, died on the spot after an explosion occurred in a coal mine operating in Umsanghat, Meghalaya.
Local Shivkumar Shrestha informed that Khadga Bahadur Khapangi Magar and Tankkumari Khapangi Magar of Salghari Bhanjyang in Barahpokhari are Purna Bahadur Daju and Surendra Bhai. In the same incident, Bam Bahadur Khapangi Magar, Karna Bahadur Khapangi Magar, Nar Bahadur Khapangi Magar and Lalit Bahadur Magar from Udaipur Saune were injured in the same incident.
Out of the team of seven people who reached Meghalaya and worked in the coal mine, only Tarabal Magar from Walampa in Barahpokhari is said to be safe. After the explosion, Tarabal informed about the incident over the phone.
