Evidence that Gagan's team did not reach the minimum number to call a special convention

Kathmandu. Chairman of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba Group has informed the Election Commission that more than 800 convention representatives have withdrawn their signatures regarding the special convention. After reaching the commission on Friday, the Deuba group submitted the details to Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari with the information that 885 convention representatives had withdrawn their signatures.

Presenting the details of his claims, Congress Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka urged to resolve the dispute in the party on the basis of past decisions and precedents of the Election Commission. Khadka clarified that it will not be valid if the decision of the Congress authority is made contrary to the previous decisions and precedents of the Commission regarding the division of parties.
