Electricity generation started from Setikhola project

Kaski. Setikhola hydropower project of 22 megawatt capacity, completed in Pokhara Metropolitan City-33 of Kaski, has started generating electricity. The project promoted by Seti Khola Hydropower Limited started in December 2078.

After the inspection and testing of the project by the technical team of the Nepal Electricity Authority, the produced electricity has started to flow in the national transmission system as a test, according to Deepak Baral, the director of the promoter company.

According to him, initially 15 days will be in the project trial period. After that, regular commercial production will begin. During that period, the electricity produced will be transferred to the Nepal Electricity Authority's system, while technical testing of the project and equipment will be conducted.
