Election Security Tightened in Border Areas: Increased Control of Illegal Transactions
Kathmandu. In view of the upcoming election of members of the House of Representatives, the Rautahat border post has been tightened. According to the local residents, as the date of the election is approaching, there is a possibility of increasing the illegal trade of arms, bullets, ammunition, tobacco and drugs from Indian land to Rautahat. The police force in the district has been made stronger and more dynamic, resulting in reduced activity of gangs involved in smuggling.
