Election 67 days left: 18.9 million voters will choose the members of the House of Representatives
Kathmandu. One crore 89 lakh three thousand 689 voters are going to be included in the House of Representatives election scheduled for February 21. The Election Commission has published the final voter list and given the details. According to the published final list, 96 lakh 63 thousand 358 men, 92 lakh 40 thousand 131 women and other 200 voters are included. The final voter list has also been published on the commission's website so that the concerned voters can see their names in the voter list.
Spokesman Narayan Prasad Bhattarai informed that the commission has decided to publish the final voter list on Saturday according to Section 20 of the Voter List Act, 2073. According to the commission, the details of the citizens who will reach the age of 18 by February 20th have been updated and the final voter list has been published.
The total number of voters in the House of Representatives and State Assembly elections held in 2079 was 91 lakh 40 thousand 806 men, 88 lakh 47 thousand 579 women and 185 others, totaling 179 lakh 88 thousand 570. Compared to 2079, the total number of voters in 2082 has increased by 915,119. According to the commission, the number of male voters has increased by 522,552, the number of female voters by 392,552 and the number of other voters by 15.
