Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated today

Kathmandu. According to the Arabic calendar Hijri Samwat, the Muslim community, who fasted in the ninth month of the Hijri calendar, are celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr today by reciting special prayers and taking blessings from elders. Today, after reciting a special prayer, for three days, one goes to one's elders and receives blessings. In this festival, blessings are given to those who are younger than themselves. It is customary to give sweets such as sevai and dates to relatives who come to seek blessings.

This festival is called Eid-ul-Fitr because the deen is distributed to the poor and the poor by donating happily. According to the Arabic calendar, after the sighting of the moon on the last day of the ninth month, the program to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr will be decided, said Abdul Satar, a Muslim believer and central member of the Nepali Congress.

On Saturday morning, a special prayer will be offered at the Nepali Jame Masjid Clock House. After that, the process of taking blessings from the elders begins. Another notable aspect of this festival is giving charity to the poor and needy. Likewise, prayers are recited with special programs in mosques and Idgahs across the country, including the Kashmiri Mosque in the clock tower.
