During the quarter of the current year, 25 local levels are still without budget
Kathmandu. Although four months of the current financial year have been completed, 24 local levels of Madhesh Province have not been able to present their budgets. So far, a total of 728 local levels have presented budgets across the country, but 25 local levels have not been able to bring the budget. According to the constitutional provisions, the federal government must present the budget on June 15th, the state government on June 1st and the local government on June 10th every year. Even after one quarter of the current year has passed, out of the total 136 local levels of Madhes province, 112 local levels have presented the budget, but 24 local levels have not presented it.
According to the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, Saptari's Rajviraj Municipality, Agnisair Krishnaswaran Rural Municipality, Balan Bihun Rural Municipality, Kalyanpur Municipality have not presented the budget. Similarly, Siraha's Dhangadhimai Municipality, Sukhipur Municipality, Dhanusha's Kshireshwar Municipality, Nagarain Municipality, Aurhi Rural Municipality, Kamala Municipality, Janakandini Rural Municipality have not been able to present the budget for the current year.
