During the festival, 3,506 policemen will be mobilized in Kathmandu
Kathmandu. District Police Complex Kathmandu announced the security plan for the festival and said that 3,506 policemen will be mobilized. In a press conference held on Friday, spokesperson of District Police Complex Kathmandu and Superintendent of Police SP Dan Bahadur Thapa said that the security plan has been prepared keeping in mind the possible security challenges that may arise during the festival.
According to him, most of those deployed will be in police uniforms and 70 will be in plain clothes. The police have divided them into 98 different sectors and assigned responsibilities.
