Drivers of 28 vehicles in special traffic checking

Kathmandu. During the special vehicle inspection campaign conducted by the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, the drivers of 28 vehicles whose mechanical condition was not good were taken into action. The traffic police conducted a special checking campaign in front of the Kumari Club in Balkhu, Kathmandu and inspected 55 vehicles. 

During the inspection, 28 vehicles with broken handbrake, broken lights, excessively worn tires and overall mechanical condition were found and the respective drivers were punished, according to the police.

According to the police, a special investigation campaign has been conducted to reduce possible accidents as the risk of accidents increases when operating mechanically weak or unmaintained vehicles and the lives of passengers and other road users may also be at risk.
