Discussion of Deuba in UML meeting, criticism of Oli
Kathmandu. CPN-UML Central Committee meeting continues from Tuesday. The central members are giving their views in the meeting. Party President KP Sharma Oli presented a political proposal on Tuesday.
Other leaders of the Central Committee are presenting their suggestions on the proposal. According to UML Propaganda Department Head Rajendra Gautam, 50 central members made important suggestions on the political proposal made by Oli on Tuesday.
What is the party's opinion regarding the dissolution of the House of Representatives, the formation process of the interim government, and then the election announced by the government on February 21, what will be their presence in the election? "Friends are more interested in the party's program through mass mobilization," he said. Gautam informed that the central member who spoke in the meeting said that the cooperation of pro-constitution and pro-democracy forces is necessary.
Leaders continue to present their opinions in the meeting today. In today's meeting, the issue of Nepali Congress Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba was also raised. UML central member Ravin Koirala discussed Deuba's departure from the party leadership.
We have expected a higher level speech from our party president than Deuba. However, he did not even have a normal feeling towards his mistakes," he said.
After the Genji movement, Congress President Deuba has given Deputy President Purna Bahadur Khadka as caretaker. Along with this, he has indicated that he will not remain in the leadership of the party.
He said that when going to the elections, we should go with a clear agenda of constitutional amendment. The main topics of the constitutional amendment should be corruption-free country, reform of the government system and issues of good governance. These things should go to the election with a commitment to amend them from the next parliament," he said. He said that President Oli has proposed a strong party unity and it should start by renewing the membership of Bidya Bhandari.
