Crowd of people registering voter list in Madhes, how many updated in which district?

Janakpurdham. As the House of Representatives election to be held on February 21 is approaching, the crowd of citizens updating the voter list in the districts of Madhes is increasing day by day. With the announcement of the date of the election by the government, the work of collecting, updating and correcting the new voter list in the Election Commission offices in the districts is going on at a fast pace.

Under the new program of the Election Commission, citizens have to fill forms, take photos, register new names, correct details, change addresses, remove duplicate names and remove names of deceased persons.

Krishnachandra Raut, the official of Election Office Janakpurdham of Madhes Province, said that since the date of election was announced, more than 200 citizens come to the office daily to register new voters and take photos. "After the government announced the date of the House of Representatives election on February 21, the crowd of citizens who became voters and updated their details has increased abnormally," he said.

According to Raut, anyone who has completed 16 years of age and obtained Nepali citizenship can go to any election office in Nepal and get their name included in the voter list. He said that the registration process has become easy due to the provision of filling the details through the online system and taking photos directly.

How many did the update in which district?
According to Election Commission Janakpurdham, 34 lakh 42 thousand 957 people have updated the voter list in Madhes province till October 16. Among them 18 lakh 62 thousand 918 men, 15 lakh 79 thousand 961 women and 78 others.

In Saptari, 4 lakh 18 thousand 782 including 2 lakh 18 thousand 124 men, 2 lakh 637 women and 1 other, 29 thousand 29 thousand 297 men, 2 lakh 2 thousand 307 women and 2 others in Sirah, total of 4 lakh 31 thousand 603 voters have been updated.

Similarly, in Dhanusha, 2 lakh 57 thousand 373 men, 2 lakh 24 thousand 213 women and 7 others, a total of 4 lakh 81 thousand 593, in Mahottari, 2 lakh 20 thousand 434 men, 1 lakh 85 thousand 69 women and 1 other, 4 lakh 5 thousand 104, in Sarlahi, 2 lakh 65 thousand 891 men, 2 lakh 24 thousand 103 women and 20 others, a total of 4 lakh 90 thousand 4 voters updated the roll.
