Criticism of Prime Minister's Chief Private Secretary after making his wife Joint Private Secretary
Kathmandu. Prime Minister Sushila Karki's Chief Private Secretary Adarsh Kumar Shrestha has been criticized for appointing his own wife to the Prime Minister's Secretariat. He appointed his wife Sangita Shrestha as his personal joint secretary in the Prime Minister's Secretariat on October 2. On the same day, it was revealed that Kamala Shrestha, appointed as personal joint secretary, and administrative assistants Poonam Shrestha and Ravina Shrestha were also his relatives.
Prime Minister's Chief Private Secretary Adarsh has claimed that his wife was brought into the Secretariat because the sensitivity of the Prime Minister's trust and confidentiality should be taken into account. He claims that his name was unnecessarily associated with the appointment of relatives.
