CPN's serious objection to the Prime Minister's statement on the border
Kathmandu. The Nepali Communist Party CPN has expressed serious objection to the views expressed by the Prime Minister regarding the Nepal-India border in the House of Representatives. In a press release issued by the party's spokesperson Prakash Jwala, the Prime Minister's statement has been accused of being irresponsible, inimical to national sovereignty and geographical integrity and contrary to established historical facts.
In the statement, mentioning that international border encroachment and cross-holding of land in the border area are different subjects, it is clarified that unauthorized occupation, construction of structures or border expansion by a country is considered as encroachment.
Claiming that India is unilaterally encroaching on Kalapani, Lipulek and Limpiyadhura areas, the party says that it is a serious treason to say that Nepal has also occupied India's land by destroying it.
