Corruption case against former Speaker Mahara

Kathmandu. The Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission is going to register a corruption case against former Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara. The commission team has reached the special court to register the case. A case is about to be filed against Mahara on charges of smuggling gold by hiding it in electronic cigarette vape. With the file of the case, the employees of the authority have now reached the special court. A special court source has informed that the details are being collected now.

The authority decided to take the case after the relationship and business with Chinese nationals involved in gold smuggling through Mahara, who is also the leader of CPN, was revealed.
