Congress demands an immediate high-level investigation on Home Minister Gurung

Kathmandu. The main opposition Nepali Congress has demanded the government to start a fair investigation into the allegations against Home Minister Sudhan Gurung. Party spokesperson Devraj Chalise has informed that the government has demanded an independent, impartial and high-level investigation into the latest case related to Home Minister Sudhan Gurung. In a statement issued by party spokesperson Devraj Chalise, the government has been drawn to ensure that the investigation process can be affected while holding the post of home minister.

It is said in the statement, "In such a situation, it is natural to suspect that there will be a direct or indirect influence on the investigation process by staying in the relevant position." Therefore, we are of the clear opinion that the necessary environment should be ensured to make research independent, fair and free of influence. Therefore, the Nepali Congress makes a clear demand to the government that an independent, impartial and high-level investigation process of all the allegations related to the Home Minister should be started immediately.

It is mentioned that any attempt to slow down, influence or cover up this issue will cause a serious shock to good governance, morality and public trust. The Congress has also informed that from the previous meeting of the Congress Central Working Committee, it has made a clear decision to take the questions raised in public regarding the source of the wealth of the ministers seriously.
