Main News Image

Kathmandu. The supreme administration has prepared to lodge a complaint with the police, demanding action against those involved in the arson that took place in the Supreme Court during the Genji movement. According to sources, the court administration has decided to clear the garbage only after forensic examination. The Supreme Administration has taken the stand that those involved in arson will not be exempted under any circumstances.

During the Genji movement on August 24, government structures from Parliament to the Supreme Court and Singha Durbar were set on fire. In that process, important documents and records of the Supreme Court were destroyed. The Supreme Administration has also been pointing out the need for forensic examination of arson. In the discussion with security chiefs, the administration maintained that those involved in the arson would not be exempted and that a forensic investigation would be mandatory.
In addition, it is said that if forensic examination is not carried out while cleaning burnt vehicles and office waste in the court premises, evidence may be lost and it will be difficult to find out the reality of the incident.
