Bhaktapur. The new year has begun. However, more than the excitement of the new year, there is concern among the common citizens. There is widespread talk about the market becoming more expensive in 2083. Common people say that the price has increased hundreds of times in the last one month. Now it seems to increase more. On the other hand, traders also seem worried. They estimate that more economic recession will affect the market.

Those who have their children, parents and relatives in foreign employment are also worried. The reason for all this is the war between Israel, America and Iran. The war that has been going on for a month and a half is getting longer and longer. The war seems to rage even more. The impact of the war is not only affecting three countries, it is affecting all the countries of the world. The crisis is leaking when Iran, which has oil mines, stopped the fuel and the depots in the Gulf were also destroyed.

A fuel crisis has been created in the world. Even Nepal cannot remain untouched by its effects. Now it is getting fuel. However, the price is very high. Because of this, the price of every item has increased. Goods of 50 rupees have been delivered to 150 rupees. The price is sure to increase further. However, the people cannot live now.

If you work for a whole month, you get a salary of five thousand to fifteen thousand. And how to make a living when a bag of rice costs 3000? Again, we did not just buy rice, we also had to eat lentils, marmasala, and vegetables. The price of vegetables is still untouchable. 50 rupees are charged for a bunch of greens. Other vegetables are more expensive.

I had to take a car to go to work. Now 40 rupees is charged as soon as you board the public transport. 60-70 rupees for traveling a little further. Room rent also had to be paid. With the increase in the price of fuel, the landlords have started increasing the rent. The dark, small room of five thousand has been increased to seven thousand. Children had to be taught.

It has become natural for schools to charge arbitrary fees under various pretexts. Even if you work, you don't get paid. While some people are rushing to avoid the dawn and dusk, some people are walking around in a screaming car. However, now the days of riding a car are coming to an end. Because the car does not run without fuel.

80-85 percent of the vehicles operating in Nepal run on fuel. These cars are brought from neighboring India and China. 2.5 lakhs to 24 crores are invested in a single vehicle. However, when there is no fuel, what is the use of that multi-million car? Another thing, if foreigners do not send food, we Nepalis may die of hunger.

Five decades ago, Nepal, which was self-sufficient in food and exported food to foreign countries, has reached this state now? It is not found that the government has searched. Here, arable land is being broken up and houses and other structures are being built. It is difficult to find empty land in Kathmandu Valley, which is considered very suitable for cultivation. In this way, the government is silent when building structures on arable land.

On the one hand, the government uses the slogan of agriculture. Nepal is claimed as an agricultural country. On the other hand. Cultivable land is being destroyed. This will definitely cause a big crisis in the future. Because a country that is not self-sufficient in food will neither have a strong economy nor strategy and diplomacy. Always bow to foreigners. However, the government of Nepal never understood this. Instead of saving arable land, the government gives permission for allotment.

And how does the country stand? In a country where the government works in the interests of brokers and mafia, neither the state nor the people benefit. The government went after the mafia, but the people also got involved. Cultivable land of 5,000 plants has been bought by people by investing millions and crores of money. Land was bought at such high prices, especially in the valleys and urban areas. Hundreds of cultivated lands of the village have been left barren.

Now the funny thing is that in the village, those who own thousands of plantations, houses, mats, and barns are poor, while those who built houses on three annas of land in the city are rich. What do you call it? People are ashamed to do agricultural work. The view of farmers in the society is very bad. However, we are living from the grain grown by the same farmer. At present, we Nepalis are living from the grain grown by foreign farmers.

Foreigners plant by applying pesticides. We pay a high price to eat it. He had to starve if he didn't eat. Because our product is not enough for everyone. In this way, the benefit of promoting agriculture is going to foreigners. On the one hand he is making money, on the other hand he is making Nepalis sick. And if we do not send or eat that food, we must starve to death. Elders used to say that growth should be used, not force. However, Nepali people do not use both of them.

Now people are getting nervous. What others say, they do. For example, one of them builds a house and rents it, seeing that he earns a lot of money, and the other does the same. And this is what has been happening for a few decades. The law clearly states that real estate, cars and shares are luxury items. However, here only those who understand and read the law have invested heavily in this field.

A share of 100 rupees has been bought for 3500 rupees. Vehicles made with Kawadi accessories have been bought for millions. Not only this, the land that was once not sold for 10,000 is now being bought for hundreds of millions. And what to do with the car if there is no fuel? What to do with the house if there is no food? Is the investment made by Nepalis in real estate, cars and shares considered intellectual work or foolishness?

The government is the same. In foreign countries, the land is owned by the state. But, Nepal
