Kathmandu. Due to the partial effect of the western low pressure line trough and local air in the upper atmosphere of the country, there is a possibility of rain and thunderstorms in different parts of the country. According to the Water and Weather Forecast Division, light to moderate rains are currently occurring in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces in the Himalayan and hilly areas of the country including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Sudurpaschim provinces. In most areas of the Terai, the weather is mainly clear.

The department has forecast that it will be generally cloudy in the Himalayan and hilly parts of the country, including Koshi Province, and partly cloudy in the Terai region. During this time, there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and few places in other Himalayan and hilly areas.
