Chandra Bhandari's suggestion to Gagan not to resign

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader Chandra Bhandari has suggested the chairman Gagan Thapa not to resign. Leader Bhandari advised Thapa, who was in a state of resignation after suffering a heavy defeat in the election in the House of Representatives, not to resign. Bhandari is of the opinion that resignation is not an option at the moment and we should move towards a regular convention.
Congress elections held for the convention were not regular. Therefore, Gagan Kumar Thapa's resignation in the name of morality is the right, responsible and timely way to go to the convention. Saving the Congress in the current situation is itself a moral obligation. Today's bitter reality is that the youth are leaving the Congress. At such a time, the party should be given medicine, it should not be abandoned,' he said. He is of the opinion that morality is mostly dead in Nepali politics and now new thinking, new leadership and new seeds must be planted.
