Chance of snow in Terai, snow in Himalayas

Kathmandu. There is a partial effect of western wind over the country. According to the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Water and Meteorology, there will be fog in most parts of the Terai region this afternoon. There will be partial change in hilly and mountainous areas of the country. There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall at one or two places in the high hills and Himalayan areas of Kosi and Gandaki provinces.

Similarly, there will be thunderstorms in most parts of the Terai region tonight. The weather will be mostly clear in the rest of the Himalayan areas of Kosi, Gandaki and Karnali regions. It is mentioned in the statement issued by the Division that there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in one or two places in the high hills and Himalayan parts of Gandaki Province. The division has requested to exercise vigilance as it is seen that the impact of the haze in the Terai region will affect the daily life, health, road and air traffic.
