Chance of rain with thundershowers in high hills and Himalayas

Kathmandu. At present, due to the partial influence of western and local winds in Nepal, the hilly and mountainous areas are generally cloudy. According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, Weather Forecasting Division, the weather is mainly clear in the Terai region. According to the department, there is a possibility of thunderstorm (light rain with lightning) at one or two places in the hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
According to the department, it will be mostly cloudy in the hilly areas of the country including the hilly areas of Koshi province, partly cloudy in the rest of the hilly areas and the weather will be mainly clear in the Terai area.
