Bhim Kumakhi was selected as the coordinator of the People's Cultural Federation of Nepal
Kathmandu. Cultural worker and poet Bhim Kumakhi has been selected as the coordinator and Ashta Lama as the co-coordinator of the National Conference of the Historical Unity of Nepal's National Cultural Association. The conference has also formed a 51-member office team, a secretariat, a central committee and a 45-member academic advisory committee.
The conference held at Mandala Banquet in Tinkune was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, CPN Co-Convenor Madhav Kumar Nepal. He expressed the belief that the communist movement will move forward with new enthusiasm and work for the country and the people, and emphasized that the new generation should be connected with ideas and movements.
In the program, Ganganarayan Shrestha, member of Art, Literature and Culture Department, Chiran Pun, in-charge of Mahasangh, Uday Shrestha, co-in-charge, etc. held the opinion that the progressive cultural movement should be strengthened through unity. The newly elected coordinator Kumakhi expressed his commitment to take the progressive cultural movement to new heights by strengthening the unity of writers, artists and cultural workers.
In the conference, various artists gave cultural performances through songs and poems. The Mahasangh also said that it has decided the direction of action to make the campaign of social transformation more effective through art, literature and culture.
