Bhatt, who did not become the governor, became the vice-chairman of the National Planning Commission

Kathmandu. Vice President of the National Planning Commission Dr. Gunakar Bhatt has been appointed. The Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, under the vice-chairmanship of Dr. Bhatt was appointed. Last year, he resigned from the post of executive director of Rashtra Bank after the then government assured to make him the governor of Rashtra Bank. However, his resignation was rejected, the government did not make him the governor.

Bhatt resigned as executive director during the governor's race. When the resignation was not accepted by Kamu Governor Neelam Dhungana, Bhatt was prevented from becoming the governor.
