Bangur started dying due to 'swine fever' in Rautahat
Rautahat Pigs have started dying due to swine fever in Chandrapur city area. Veterinarian Dr. Sulab Chaudhary has said that 14 bucks of Hari Guro of Rajpeda village, Chandrapur municipality-5 have died of this disease. Farmer Guro lamented that 14 bangurs died within a week. He said that they informed the veterinarians for the treatment of Bangur and even though they were being treated, Bangur died.
According to Dr. Chaudhary, one of Shanti Magar in Chandranigahpur-4 also died of the same disease. He said that the disease is especially spread by infected pigs or their offspring or meat or animals that come in contact with infected animals. Doctor Choudhary said that although Chandrapur municipality has announced vaccination in all wards to control the disease, it will take some time due to lack of vaccination. The farmers of Chandrapur have reared around six thousand bangur.
