Balen was elected in Jhapa-5 with a margin of about 50,000 votes
Kathmandu. RSVP senior leader Balen Shah has been elected from Jhapa region number 5. According to the final results, Balen was elected with 68,348 votes. He defeated former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is also the Chairman of CPN-UML.
UML President Oli received 18724 votes. There was a difference of 49,614 votes between them. Jhapa-5 was at the center of most discussions in this year's elections. With Balen Shah, the former mayor of Kathmandu metropolis, contesting with Oli in this area has been discussed.
