Balen had a vision of Khuwalung, said to be a symbol of a living cultural spiritual tradition
Kathmandu. Balendra Shah Balen, a senior leader of Rashtriya Swatantra Party RSVP, who is on an election tour of Eastern Terai, visited Khuwalung. On reaching Saptakosi on Wednesday, Shah visited Khuwalung. He explained it as a holy place.
After visiting Khuwalung, Shah wrote on social media, "Khuwalung is a sacred place for Kiranti and Nepali people located in Saptakoshi area, which is considered as the door of civilization in Mundhum." During this, he interpreted Khuwalung as a symbol of spiritual tradition. "It is a symbol of the living cultural spiritual tradition as it is mandatory to remember it in Mundhum texts and life cycle rituals," he said.
He explained this as a collective representation. Shah said, "It is a collective representation of history, religion and culture reflecting Kiranti civilization, tribal identity and human-nature relationship." He is visiting various areas of Morang and Sunsari in Eastern Terai. During this, he is meeting with the candidates of RSVP.
