Attempted attack on Mahesh Basnet in Biratnagar

Biratnagar. An attempt was made to attack UML Politburo member Mahesh Basnet at Biratnagar Airport. Today, two youths tried to molest by throwing balloons while arriving at the airport by Shree Air flight to participate in Yuva Sangh Koshi state-level public awareness campaign.

Morang police said that after the incident, the security personnel immediately took control and brought the situation back to normal. Police sources have confirmed that the arrested youths are 19-year-old Arpit Kunwar of Biratnagar (2) and 25-year-old Sanyog Gautam of Biratnagar 1. According to the police officer stationed at the airport, Basnet was not physically harmed despite the attempted attack.
