Kathmandu. The 19th session of the National Assembly will start from 11 am today. As the parliament building at Baneshwar was burnt down during the Genji movement, the federal parliament secretariat has made special preparations to conduct the meeting at Singha Darbar this time.

In the first meeting of the session, the agenda is that Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal will read out the letter received from President Ramchandra Poudel regarding the convening of the session. In addition, the meeting will also present a condolence proposal for Nepali Congress MP Baldev Bohra who passed away recently. According to the recommendation of the Council of Ministers on January 28, the President called this session according to Article 93 1 of the Constitution.

In this context, the Election Commission is preparing for the National Assembly elections for the 19 seats that will be vacant on January 11, in which one member has already been elected unopposed. This convention, which started on the eve of the House of Representatives election and the arrival of new members in the National Assembly, is viewed with great political importance.
