Argentina withdrawing from the World Health Organization
Kathmandu. Argentina has formally withdrawn from the World Health Organization. Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno gave the information on Tuesday on social media. According to him, this decision was informed through a letter sent to the Secretary General of the United Nations on March 17, 2025. According to the Vienna Treaty, this withdrawal was formally implemented one year after the notification.
Quirno said, our country will promote international cooperation in the health sector through bilateral agreements and regional forums, but our universal right and freedom to determine health policies will be fully protected.
