Approved criteria for recruiting 149,000 full-time police officers for election security

Kathmandu. The government has approved the criteria for recruitment of 149 thousand 90 election police officers for the election security of members of the House of Representatives. "Standards for recruitment, selection, appointment and deployment of election police - 2082" was passed by the Council of Ministers.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Madi police will be trained for 10 days and assigned to the workplace for 30 days. 1 lakh 33 thousand 980 under Nepal Police and required number of regular police under Armed Police Force will be mobilized.

The policemen will get basic salary, clothes and ration facilities after joining. The selected person will be given 846 rupees for preparation expenses and 1020 rupees for lunch expenses for four days. The government is preparing to mobilize around 3.3 lakh security personnel for the elections to be held on February 21.
