Applications can be submitted to Madi Police from today

Kathmandu. The government has called for the recruitment of election police for the next election of members of the House of Representatives to be held on February 21. The Human Resource Development Department of Nepal Police issued a notification on Thursday and said that 133 thousand 980 election policemen will be recruited for the elections. People interested in becoming election police can apply from today till January 1.

The notification states that the application can be submitted to the concerned district police office from 10 am to 4 pm. Applications will be accepted even on public holidays. 

The election police selection process will be conducted through a committee formed in each district under the coordination of the chief district officer and including representatives of the security agencies. This service, which was earlier called 'Mayadi Police', has been formally named 'Election Police' for the first time this time.
