Kathmandu. The Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission has filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Secretary of the Ministry of Water Supply, who was acquitted by a special court in connection with corruption in the Melamchi water supply project. The commission said that the authority filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against 17 people including the then chairman of the Melamchi Water Supply Development Committee and secretaries of the Ministry of Water Supply Bhimprasad Upadhyay, Gajendra Kumar Thakur, the then board member of the Melamchi Water Supply Development Committee Rudrasinh Tamang, the then board member Mukunda Prasad Paudel.
