Another relief for Ravi: Remand by Patan High Court
Kathmandu. The Patan High Court has upheld the order of the Kathmandu District Court to release Ravi Lamichhane, Chairman of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party, on bail. The bench of Patan High Court judges Khadanand Tiwari and Deepak Kumar Kharel upheld the order of the district on Thursday.
On January 2, 2081, the District Court of Kathmandu ordered Lamichhane to be released on a bond of 60 million rupees. The High Public Prosecutor's Office requested that the bail order against Ravi Lamichhane, Chabilal Joshi, Sunita Neva and Kamal Lama should be revoked and they should be kept in custody pending trial. Hearing on that, the Kathmandu District Court said that the order given to them should not be changed.
Considering the statements of the defendants, the state of use of the money, the involvement of the defendants, it was found that the bail was immediately demanded as determined later, and the defendants were found to be on the date after filing the demanded bond, and after understanding the additional evidence, it will be as determined. As the order of 23rd was not approved, it was not seen that it should be changed," the order said.
