Another brutal murder of an elderly couple in Okhaldhunga

Okhaldhunga. An old couple has been brutally murdered again in Chishankhugadhi rural municipality-6 Bhadaure of Okhaldhunga, before the murder of a couple that happened a month ago. The bodies of 80-year-old Chandravikram Rai and his wife Chandramaya Rai were found dead after robbery in Bohore tol of Bhadaure. According to Ward Chairman Balram Katwal, it is initially assumed that the two were murdered after robbing a small shop run by the couple.

After receiving information about the incident, the local police reached the spot and tightened the security arrangements. Chief Deputy Superintendent of Police Madan KC of District Police Office Okhaldhunga informed about the incident and said that the team led by him is preparing to leave for the incident site.

"The place of the incident has been kept safe, the police team is being mobilized for investigation," he said. Earlier, about a month ago, Shobhitman Thapa Magar and his wife Ratnamaya Thapa Magar, about 60 years old, were killed in Chishankhugadhi Rural Municipality-6 Bhadaure.

Whenfour people were arrested and investigated for being involved in the incident, the local residents became alarmed when another murder incident came to light. The locals have demanded that the culprits be caught quickly and strict action taken, saying that the continuous killings have added a serious security challenge to the Bhadaure area. Police said that more details about the incident are yet to come.
