Kathmandu. Prime Minister Sushila Karki has called for an all-party meeting. Prime Minister Karki has called an all-party meeting for 4 pm today. According to Prime Minister Karki's secretariat, representatives of political parties, Election Commission and security agencies have been invited to the meeting. The Prime Minister's Secretariat has informed that the meeting will focus on issues including the House of Representatives election scheduled for February 21. The meeting will be held at Baluwatar, the official residence of the Prime Minister.
Congress, UML, Nepali Communist Party, RASWP and RPP have been called in the discussion. The commission and security agencies will also be present in the discussion. The Prime Minister has called for this kind of discussion for the first time. The election of the House of Representatives will not be held on February 21. The National Assembly elections will be held on January 11.
Political parties have been prioritizing the issue of ensuring a secure environment for elections. Earlier, Prime Minister Karki had discussed this matter with political parties on a party basis.
