After Venezuela, now Cuba is Trump's target, the tension between Washington and Havana is on the rise
Kathmandu. After US President Donald Trump warned Cuba to "compromise" immediately or pay a heavy price, diplomatic relations between the two countries have become increasingly tense. After the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro by the US military, Trump increased the pressure on Cuba and announced that from now on all oil and financial aid from Venezuela to Cuba will be completely stopped.
Trump, through his 'Truth Social' platform, has strongly suggested that Cuba come to a deal before it's too late, but he hasn't released any clear details about what kind of deal he's trying to make.
On the other hand, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Conel strongly denied Trump's claim and warning. He clarified that there is no political dialogue with the US except the technical issue of immigration through the social network 'X'.
