After two ward presidents, another UML leader was arrested on the charge of beating Genji

Kathmandu. Police have arrested one more leader of CPN-UML on the charge of beating Genji in Simra of Bara. The police arrested UML's local leader Arabind Shah. Dhan Bahadur Shrestha, the Ward President of Jitpur Simra Sub-Metropolitan-2 and Kaimdwin Ansari, the President of Ward No. 6, who were already elected from the UML, were arrested on the charge of beating Jenji.

On Wednesday, after learning that UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel and Politburo member Mahesh Basnet Simra would come, Genji demonstrated. After the protest of Genji, both leaders could not go to Simra and stopped in Kathmandu. During the protest, the local UML workers beat up the Zenji protesters.

The police arrested them after Saikus Upadhyaya, a local Genji leader known as Samrat, filed a complaint against them at the local police office in Simra on Wednesday. Genji's main demand was to arrest Sah involved in the beating. Genji also demonstrated in Simra on Thursday, demanding that they should be arrested and prosecuted. Chief District Officer of Bara, Dharmendra Kumar Mishra has informed that the curfew order has not been extended in Simra since 8 o'clock last night as the situation is returning to normal.
