Dhan Bahadur Shrestha, the Ward President of Jitpur Simra Sub-Metropolitan-2 and Kaimdwin Ansari, the President of Ward No. 6, who were already elected from the UML, were arrested on the charge of beating Jenji.

On Wednesday, after learning that UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel and Politburo member Mahesh Basnet Simra would come, Genji demonstrated. After the protest of Genji, both leaders could not go to Simra and stopped in Kathmandu. During the protest, the local UML workers beat up the Zenji protesters.
