After the Rasuwagadhi crossing was blocked due to flood, the journey of passengers started from Tatopani and Hilsa

Kathmandu. Due to the severe flood that occurred on 10th Bhadra last year, after the damage to the infrastructure including the immigration office at Rasuwagadhi crossing, Tatopani and Hilsa crossings have been used as alternative routes for passenger traffic with China.

After the closure of the Rasuwagadhi border, the immigration department said that especially the travelers who went to China's Tibet, Kailash-Mansarovar Yatra and other tours are using the Kodari, Tatopani and Humla border crossings in Sindhupalchok.

According to the Immigration Department, 3,904 passengers entered Nepal through the Tatopani crossing during the 20-day period from 10th Bhadra to 29th Bhadra 2083, the date when the Rasuwagadhi border crossing was blocked. There are 1 thousand 733 women who entered Nepal.
