Kathmandu. The full meeting of the CPN Maoist Center National Convention Organizing Committee has decided to hold the unity national conference of the new party on November 19. CPN Maoist Center Spokesperson Agni Sapkota informed that the meeting held on Tuesday decided that the name of the new party will be the Nepali Communist Party and its election symbol will be a five-pointed star.

He said, 'Ekta National Conference of the new party will be held on November 19. In which the representatives participating in the convention will be maintained by all the parties with mutual agreement and understanding', he said, 'The name of the new party has been kept as Nepali Communist Party. Its election symbol will be a five-pointed star. Sapkota said that in order to protect the democratic republic and fulfill the goals of the socialist revolution, the unification of the larger communist movement is an objective need today.

"Unification of the great communist movement to fulfill the goals of the socialist revolution by protecting the democratic republic, protecting national independence, good governance, social justice and economic social transformation is the objective requirement of today," he said. He also informed that the unity national convention of the new party will be held within 6 months. The central committee will be formed on the basis of mutual agreement. The central committee will have the post of coordinator and co-coordinator, he said.
